So, I don't know if anyone is actually out there, taking the time to read my blog... I know not many comment (which does make me feel more inclined to blog), but I will continue to anyways. I know many of you out there have probably seen, or at least heard, of the movie 'Eat, Pray, Love' and it is also a book for those of you who like to cozy up to one every once in a while. Well, in my opinion it is one of the most inspiring pieces to come to the big screen in years. The idea that sometimes you have to learn how to over indulge and to find what make you happy, then to learn how to give to others and to dedicate yourself to something, specifically your faith, then to take what you have learned and find balance in your life. I have found it so inspiring in fact that I have decided to try my own version this summer.

My point is I will be trying to at least keep you updated on my adventures and findings, since there isn't too much else to write about. And for those of you who may find this interesting enough to read, you are appreciated.

So far I have already been to New York for a week, experiencing the big city. And I have also been on a mission trip to the middle of no where in Tennessee learning how to give back. I will let you know my findings as I desciver them myself, starting in the next blog. For now, enjoy this little tidbit of wisdom!

No matter what you're doing its always nicer when you are surrounded by kind and friendly people. This goes for a game to, and Howrse especially! People who are sweet and respond with a good attitude make the game more fun to play! So today I just wanted to remind everyone it is a game, have fun playing it and enjoy the people who love the game as well! You know you would rather play a game with nice people over crabby or rude players! So spread a virtual smile or just show someone kindness and have fun!

Over the years as I have been playing howrse I have gone through the typical phases of near addiction and resentment towards the virtual gaming experience it offered me. Many things have really bugged me about the game, but I perservered and decided that I liked the game enough to stick with it even if it didn't always feel fair. The advantages pass buyers get from their seemingly ocean deep credit accounts used to make me feel like the game was rigged so that only adults with nothing better to do with their wages and kids with rich parents could get ahead in the rankings and get the best of everything... Its true. These people get what they want in the game, but those of us who would rather spend our well earned money on more practical items, such as car payments and clothing, we tend not to see how our own choice has been beneficial to us. Much like in life the game of howrse is broken down into a certain social structure: The rich players, the newbies, the experienced, the collectors, and the blissfully unaware players wh otend to ignore the rankings and latest updates. Those at the top lose time and money they could be using to make a difference in their lives and the world, those who refrain from the over the top spending get to have fun on the game and keep their money! We are the ones who can play for years and not get bored with our divines that do nothing and the massive amount of virtual passes and money we have accumulated. We get to keep trying to progress, the point of the game, and to stay in a zone of fun and challenge those who pay don't get. In the end we are better off because we can truly appreciate the hard work it takes to put into the game and we can relish in the enjoyment we get from it.  I encourage you to not get discouraged by pass buying, karma multiplying, top 20 players who go on without the fun we experience, just enjoy it and eventually the e and passes will follow with a sense of pride in your accomplishment that is absent for those who pay their way to the top...

The much anticipated opening of the four new servers on howrse I jumped in and reserved my loggin as soon as I could. You can now find me on both the international and United States versions of the game! So far I found it has some cool features unique to the American version, including some new breeds, which I personally love! My first howrse there is a cute French Trotter named Josie! I have yet to explore as much as is possible but as I find new fun things I will definitely keep everyone posted! Please, if you are on another server and want to share the things that make it unique, please post on this and let me know! Overall, I really think these four new servers will be great for the game and will clear out many players feeling suffocated by the pass purchasing players that have dominated the original server. It will also clean up the insane amount of folks attacking the private sales and bombarding the forums, and for me personally I will be glad to see that people will be able to choose. I am mainly planning on staying with my original version, since I have over 3 years invested in it, but newer players and future add ons will be able to populate the new servers rather than continue the steep growth of the first.

As you all know its Christmas time! I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and joyous holiday season! Also, Howrse has introduced a whole slew of fun holiday specials for you to enjoy! From the advent calender to the reigndeer games (this makes me chuckle everytime I type it) there are tons of ways to get into the holiday spirit on howrse! My personal favorite is the Advent Calender, the prizes have been decent so far, and I am definitely waiting to recieve my gifts for the twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth, as I know they will be loads better than everything so far! The background for the game is also super pretty this year! much better than in the past, although I did enjoy last years ufos (adorable candy canes, ornaments, and snowflakes), but I suppose these were too much trouble! With each holiday you are able to see how far the game has come since 2007 version one, and I must say (for all of you who joined the game after these changes were made) it has come light years! Whether or not this has always been a good change, I would have to say overall, it has been magnificent!

So have a Happy and Wonderful Christmas and a Blessed New Year!
Much Love,
Kjumper!

Dotty is not only the owner of the best golden apple coat collection on the game but also one of the kindest! I have had the pleasure of talking to her on several occasions and she has always been amazingly friendly and polite, which sadly is not always the case with the more involved players. I just wanted to highlight an awesome player and her insane collection. Literally, she has almost every single golden apple coat ever seen on the game, that includes both reitired and active. Not only does she have horses with the coats but a majority of her collection is made of highly skilled and valued horses. So, if you are looking for something fun to do I suggest that you head on over to Dotty's page and be astounded by her enormous herd of golden apple horses, and don't forget to congradulate her for a great game!

If you know an insanely kind and talented player feel free to tell me about them and they may be interviewed for the site! Happy howrsing and have a blessed day! :)

I am proud to introduce the new look and idea for An Inside Look at Howrse! We are going green in support for a better and greener future! Over time we will have links on our link page for some sites that can help educate you on going green! Also we will include some fun banners for you to use on your howrse pages to help spread the message! Reduce, re-use, recycle! Tell us how you go green by posting here or messaging Kjumper and you may be selected to be interviewed for a go green piece on the main page of the ILAH website today!
